Accounts and Access
Your online account
Northeastern accounts open the way to online university resources, including the Northeastern portal and the Canvas learning management system. Usernames and passwords are set up when accounts are first claimed by navigating to my.Northeastern.edu, clicking on Request Access, and Activate Account.
2FA and Your Account
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security measure that protects your online identity and personal information. It’s also required to access many university systems and services. Enroll today.
Appropriate Use Policy
All faculty are responsible for following the Northeastern University Appropriate Use of Computer and Network Resources Policy. The policy is available in PDF form at northeastern.edu/aup.
Get Secure
As a member of the Northeastern community, you’re responsible for helping keep the university safe from phishing and other security threats. Northeastern will never ask you to confirm your username and password through email. Use the Report Message button in your Outlook client to immediately report a suspicious email. Remote Access – GlobalProtect
Virtual Private Network (VPN) provides safe and secure Northeastern’s access to NUnet resources from off-campus locations. Install GlobalProtect, the university’s VPN software, on a device to get started.
